FZX250 Zeal Speed issue

    blanking screws? not the ones that bolt to the engine? Where you have a screw on the side there I have a nipple that a that has a hose attached to the.next boot

    yea I just saw yours have hoses running from there .... the FZR has screws that u remove to fit the adapters for the carb balancing

    Ahh so don't worry about them then. Silicon boots up and run air box with out filter to test

    So the longer hose (6) just loops from 1 boot to the next? ..... just by your pic it looks like they go "somewhere' ? :lolsign:

    nope that's exactly how they go same as the product listing

    So hirochi are like half the prices then millway but don't ship to australia :(

    Have a close look at those hoses and make sure they arnt split and are firmly attached

    get some really large heatshrink tubing to redo the carb boots - you'll get it at either electrical wholesalers or perhaps somewhere that deals with large auto electrics such as battery sellers - the big stuff is glue lined and will reseal those boots just fine
    you may even have some luck at a hobby store as this stuff is also used to give lipo batteries some impact resistance

    wouldnt some electrical tape be a quick fix on the outside of the boots.

    Heatshrink is amazing stuff. I used to use it to make fire juggling gear more "grippy" back in my misspent youth.

    So looking over the cabies againand noticed this the caps on 1 and 2 are on wrong and no oring on wat ever that holes do im assuming that feeds fuel to the needle? By the looks of the diaphrams the carbies have been rebuilt at some point not long before i purchased the bike years ago. (I've only done just under 3000kms on the bike)

    OMG!!!!
    That is the vacuum feed from the carb throat. It is where the vacuum comes from to lift the slides.
    There are also supposed to be o-rings in there and of course the caps are on backwards..

    So that could be all my issue is. Some people shouldnt be allowed to touch carbies -.- I've got a temp oring in 3 and 4 until i can afford to get genuines. I would've thought that should played havoc on everything not just top end

    You have probably been riding a 2 cylinder Zeal for a long time. This will be interesting.
    You should be able to get yourself some close to size o-rings at the local bearing shop.

    Seems more responsive, hit 120 in 3rd but ran into traffic so couldnt get it higher :( might try and test it later tonight.
