    so after riding back from @kiffsta I checked the oil level and it was on the lower side of the A in the word KAZ so I topped up 150mm of oil which put it up to the full line;... Then today I decided to 3 bond the engine.. and manged to split the top radiator hose while trying to get to the #3 spark plug.. so i only ran her for a little just to get rid of the white smoke that happens from the burring 3bond.... then I realized hildegard was bogging down in higher revs and the white smoke was still coming out so I took her for 2 laps around the block keeping her in high revs and slowly opening her to WOT.... Wow what a difference.. so smooth and just feels 100% better..

    now she is sitting naked waiting for me to fix the radiator hose...

    put the tank back on the hornet and turned fuel on. motor turns over with no clunks but will not fire. bet the theif burnt out the cdi.

    side stand up on the hornet and clutch in and still no spark. motor turns over. any ideasanyone?????

    Today I discovered that teh Float valves in a YZF600R are $113 a piece, then I learned that the YZF uses some Keihin carbs... and that float valves from a 2000 ZZR 250 fit perfectly and only cost $7 a piece.

    Mate just a thought but they may have weakened a plug in the harness to the coils.. my old mc 19 would turn over all day and not spark.. even though connected there was no contact... so it looked fine from the out side but I had to twist the connection to get contact... I wasted a lot of money on parts i didnt actually need until i found it out... also might be as simple as a busted wire (eg. kill switch) in the sub loom from when they butchered the front end..

    Cheers @Phil not 100% sure its the hose yet as the engine was hot so I will be checking today to see if its lose or split..

    so put Hildegard back together and found out it was only a lose hose clamp so no splits thank ****... also went about replacing all the miss matched fairing screws with new hex bolts so now my fairing can be removed with 1 allen key lol...

    to answer the thread question absolutely stuff all... i started both bikes for the first time in a fortnight yesterday.... I ran out of the kiwis rego on the 7r lol. Obviously the ZXR250 put up a fight about being started as well lol
