Very very nice. I think I know who I'll be using for paint now.

    Hey Jim
Have to agree with Kiffsta 100%, Bob's the man. He has painted numerous bikes for us over the years and has never let us down. The best thing about Bob is that he is the complete package, paint, decals, tank liners if required, you name and he can do it.:thumb_ups:

I'm glad you guys all give Bob the thumbs up. The work on his website is certainly very impressive. I've been speaking with Bob and I've decided I'm going to get the tank painted in the Rothmans colours (same as the skin) and the wheels powder coated white. I was tossing up using original fairing panels and going back to original 96 R2T colours but I've already spent enough on this bike for the time being. To be honest, I'd probably be better off finding a second 28 with original panels. Price wouldn't be much different and I'd have a heap of spares. When I bought this bike I was offered a MC21 SE with it and I'm kicking myself that I didn't take them both. Most of the parts are interchangeable and the 21 is a better handling bike with the double sided swingarm. Much easier to de-restrict than the 28 too. I could have had the 21 for the hotrod and the 28 for the cafe.

Must confess that having a back up bike for spares is a good thing. We did with the nsr and it got us up and running.
Also speak to Bob re powder coating, he has a good contact from what he told me.
