woot, getting excited bob, will give you a call tomorrow.

As for the NSR, both wheels are back on and she is rolling on her boots, new brake pads are fitted, brakes bled. Just need to refit the airbox, change the oil and filter, then I can drop it over to Bob's for the finishing touches.

New screen has arrived, still waiting on new mirrors, new grips and levers.

    Cheers

    Chris

Very excited, picked up the Decal set for the NSR250 from CutGrafix, I had met Rod at the Laverda Concourse a few weeks back and he was able to knock me up a set for the bike, they look incredible. If you want replacement decals for your bike then give Rod a bell, his website is http://www.cutgrafix.com

Very excited, cant wait to see the finished body work , I picked up my rear seat which has been recovered in red vinyl, looks awesome and only cost $30. I was planning on changing the exhaust cans, however they are original Honda ones and in good nick so they stay on, an aftermarket set might take away from the look I am going for.

Thanks everyone for your comments, its been a fun project and looks better than I expected. Phil and I undertook this one as project to show how you can take a tired looking motorcycle and with a bit of know how, $$$, workshop manual and a vision and turn into something awesome.

We started out with a semi decent runner that needed some TLC, we then did the following :

Verified the engine was okay and had it tuned
fitted new plugs (oil was done the week before I picked it up so we left it)
    fitted new chain and sprockets
    fitted new fork seals
    replaced RC Valve servo
polished metalwork such as forks and exhausts
    fitted new fork dust covers
    stripped and painted the calipers
new brake pads front and rear
    Powdercoated rims
    fitted new wheel bearings
    fitted new tyres
    fitted new levers
    fitted new grips
    recovered rear seat
new screws for attaching body work
    Repaired body work
    Paint the bike
    re-assembly
Alas my new NSR250 windscreen didnt fit, so we have left the old one on.

Some people I'd like to thank

Phil  my partner is crime and my Dad
Bob aka Ace of Paints - Paintwork (PM paint-your-ride)
    Rod Cutgrafix - Decals
Jason from Redline Motorcycles - RC valve servo fork seals and tune.
    EA and Powdercoating - Wheels
John from RG Seats - Rear seat cover
Capalaba Motorcycle Centre - Tyres, bearings, few other bits and bobs

We just took it for a run down the street and goes like a cut snake.  So whats next... I think a RWC and a license plate is in order.

    thanks

    Chris
