Yea in the end I may just have another good look at the 6 I have and pick out the best ones as u suggested Blair..... Im no perfectionist but I hate not 'fixing' things that need it ..... I sent a 'query' email to Hirochi but in the end they will be $120+ and shipping and I need to payout for rego/insurance soon if this pile of junk ever gets going.

I have also emailed twice motorcycle spares warehouse that do the FZR kits , to see if they sell the tubes seperate but no answer.

And also this from Jets R Us..... just makes me think they have no idea.

all the parts listed are dealer items except the jets. Can you photo the jets and send me so I can verify they will work?
Please reply to this email with all prior emails. It is the only way I can keep up with the situation.
    Thank you! Mike

Theres a guy on Gumtree with a few sets of carbs (I was going to buy a set to ravage the tubes and wateva)..... but I think he lives in fairytale land .... I could buy a whole bike for $300.

Hello Brian. It would be easier to text you if you have a mobile. I sold my last set of carbs for 240, though I can probably sell a set for $200 if you are interested, although I would say they suit a re-seal. You can pick up the re-seal kits online for $50-$60. If you are local, I can pull them apart and re-seal them for you for $300 total. I see that they are going for 300 on ebay used so its up to you

A CNC machine  I know the one I want, and I know how much it costs. It is just the spare cash issue :idk:

Go with the "pick the best of the bunch" option Brian. At least you will be on the road again and just pick up another set of carbs off a wreck for the right price later.

    Thats definately now the plan!

I only have the kits complete, float bowl gaskets and float bowl needles for the FZR250

Ha! ... thats the one selling them for $200/300

Thats just way overpriced .... I thought they would be cheap as he has a few to sell.
Some new parts for the FZR can be expensive or non existent , not unusual for an old bike , but second hand bits are everywhere ...... theres always 'whole' bikes for parts and single parts on ebay here in Oz.
Under $100 would be more realistic .... Id pay 50 happily :D
Theres 110% chance they will be absolute shite inside , if not grungeville on the outside as well..... just look at mine! .... and they were on a daily runner with a 'the carbs have been done' comment when I bought the bike.
Im struggling to make a 'complete' set of decent carbs from 2 sets

Thanx for the heads up though mate and thanx for the offer of the pickup/post :thumb_ups:

Hey grey, are the carbs different between 2kr & 3LN? I think they aren't from when I looked at both bikes side by side. If they are I have a set from my old 2kr

What a nice pic. I should steal that and put it on my website. But then everyone would say "How come his choke plunger seals are green? I want some." :idk:

    Mr Grey,
When you get the Fizzer going, I would love to have a pic of it in front of your local Australiana symbol.
To put on my postcards page.
    cheers

Well its 1 step forward and 58 back ...... **** this bike

I started to reassemble carb # 1 and I had replaced the body from the 'spare' set as the choke pipe was broken.
Both sets of carbs are supposedly off 3LN1s

Ill let the pictures do the talking .......

    What the ****?
My suggestion is to epoxy the choke pipe back on to the original carb. Or consider sealing both ends and don't connect the choke plunger to No 1 carb.

Which one is your original carb? The one with the needle jet poking or the other one?
