Thanks guys

I got the exhaust off ebay actually. was planning on getting a roo racing or megacycle but they were 450-650 bucks...

Yeah it sounds awesome. The first ride i had on it i took the baffle out and at 7,000rpm my ear was ringing but with it in it just sounds and looks nice

Yeah it is, i knew about it for ages but didn't like the idea of an unknown brand from ebay but it looks and sounds good plus it was a lot cheaper. The stock exhaust weighed 4.5 kilos, this new one is 2.5.. so pretty damn happy with it. The only problem I've got with it is the baffle is a pain to get out. Have to take the can off (a whole 4 bolts) and shove a broom handle up it. haha

funnily enough the guy who sold it to me asked to take a coupe pics of it on the bike... which is the picture you see when you click on the item on ebay. (only the back wheel though, had no fairings at the time)

[IMG]this is my bike at the moment, just got it a week or so ago in really bad condition, in the process of trying to restore it.. does anyone know what year it is? i thought it was a 89 3ln but its different to other 89's i have seen, is there a 89 2kr and a 89 3ln?

Thats definitely an 89 3LN but its a bit hodge-podge. The single easiest way to tell the 2KR from the 3LN is the frame. The 2KR uses a thin (looking) steel frame and the 3LN has that phat (fat) alloy one.

hodge podge? haha..
this is it when i first got it, all the fairings were cracked, the paint was all bubbly, had no ignition, the brakes didnt work, the front brake fluid had turned to sludge, and a tonne of other problems, etc etc.. its actually come a long way..

as you can see i tried my hand at fibre glassing the big missing chunk in the top fairing and also the bottom bit where the indicator sits, not too bad a job for a first attempt.. when i get some side fairings i'll finish it off and then get it all ready for paint, should come up pretty nice?
i'l post a photo of it when im finished..

Im sorry Dwezy, sometimes i say things and dont think about them too much. I dont mean its bad looking, i just meant theres a lot missing so it can be a little difficult for some people to identify. It certainly has come a long way and i think the fairing looks fantastic. I thought you'd just bought new fairings and primered them! Id definitely recommend a new screen when your budget allows. It will make your ride a lot more comfortable at speed.
