    Im fairly certain thats a FZR1000. I seem to recall reading that in one of the posts. Also the pipe looks like a 1000 muffler coz of the coned shape where at the header end.

    That looks like a FZR tail mated with a R6 tail and had a baby <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

    yeah i agree, did you cut the sub fram. because it looks like you have the fzr tail section where it meets up at the frame?

    Yes.... i've cut the sub frame . ... and the R1 tail too ... does not fit otherwise ...

    The job was made by some guys who work with fiberglass ... it was that guys idea ..

    i doubt it cost too much. would be a pretty easy home project for anyone who knows the basics of fiberglassing and can spray.
    its a really nice piece of work though. =p

    exup valve importance?

    hey there. my exup valve is in one word ******. and i was just wondering what is the cheapest option to replace it or fix it, ie bushing replacment?

    i was also thinking would a cbr250 exaust fit on the fzr( saving time having to cut out the valve)? and if not what size pipe is most suitable to i replace the exup with so that removing it doesnt affect the preformance?

    cheers
    Wil

    Re: exup valve importance?

    Replace the bushes would be your best option. you will be sure of a good job.

    The engine is designed to run best with the variable restriction. While putting in a fixed pipe will be good at some point in the performance range, it will be less than ideal over some of the rev range.

    Either get some made or try the Yamaha dealer -

    2KR - 90387-106U7 + 2TK-14865-01 + 90380-10172 (x 2)

    3LN - 90387-106U7 + 2TK-14845-01 + (3LN1-3-5) 90380-10198 (x 2), or (3LN6-7) 90380-10197 (x 2)

    Hope that is clear, but from the partlist it looks like you need 4 parts

    2KR - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://attachments.FZR250.com/FZR250/3HX1_1988_Part_numbers.pdf">http://attachments.FZR250.com/FZR250/3H ... umbers.pdf</a><!-- m --> 3.7MB

    3LN - <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://attachments.FZR250.com/FZR250/3LN6_1993_Part_numbers.pdf">http://attachments.FZR250.com/FZR250/3L ... umbers.pdf</a><!-- m --> 21.5MB
