I asked Bob weeks ago for a photo of the frame number or compliance plate as I was interested in purchasing and he never got back to me despite repeated attempts.

Looks reasonably tidy. Not sure the asking price is realistic, but I'm no expert on the VT250F range. Comes with instructions...

I found my jerk of the week award winner on gumtree

BTW that's me asking about the caliper and the bolt size, twice, politely...

Hey @Gizziracer when are you going to make a thread for the V50, or did I miss it?

Progress has been slow, took the heads to Greg Ball for full refurbish and 5week backlog.. just picked them up, they look fantastic, except for tiny amount of pitting in combustion area they look brand new. But that’s all I’ve done..

8496A5A0-0668-4DB0-8F9D-EFEED38CF5E6.jpeg Not exactly on gumtree, someone decided the best fate for this vintage racer was the council cleanup.. liberated it within minutes of the crushers cruel jaws :) so far replaced tyres, tubes, spokes, steering bearings, crank bearings, polished cranks and done a shake down run(5kms) on the sutherland shire cycle track, (without cardiac arrest) sutherland has a dedicated 2 km road racing circuit free of pedestrians, cars and on a week day, other humans.. Fantastic, would make a great motorcycle racing circuit!

What are people thinking throwing thing's like that out , what a waste.
The Apollo bike's where pretty good back in the day's , i think they where made in Japan. I had a Apollo 4 , i was pretty much into racing when i was younger , even when i was at school.

I raced in the sub juvenile class at Lidcolme Oval as a kid… still have my “Lenny Rogers” road/track special with Zeus crank set, campagnolo pedals and Cinelli head set n bars. It’s been hanging on the side of the house for too many years,, I’m in the mood to tighten up its spokes and hit the tarmac… no way I’m doing it on the road though…. The sutherland track is my new hang out/venue.

Having Zeus and campagnolo running gear back in the day's was top of the line = huge dollars. I think the Apollo 4 had Shimano 600 gear , either way it was embossed . Black frame and gold decal's , it was one very pretty bike to look at. I should have kept it.
