    Risky, the wrecker at Tuggerah had a 3LN a few weeks ago with a supposed good engine I looked last night & he's still advertising the FZR

    there's part on ebay out of china, pistons, rings, bearing shells and valve stem seals

    most expensive part is head and cylinder base gaskets

    I did stumble upon both cylinder base and head gasket for $100 on ebay recently

    Under no circumstances would I pay full price, I'm not sure I would actually survive the sticker shock of hearing the price

    might be worth doing the valve stem seals whilst checking the valve clearances, then give it a run before checking the compression

    blowing smoke at high revs. 55k on the speedo. will do an oil change today if i find a filter in the drawers i have.

    everything except head gasket and cam chain now ordered.has anyone worked on these yet?long time since i rebuilt a bike engine. last one was a katana in the 70,s or early 80,s.

    rings, mains,big ends, valve stem seals...165 aus.sump and lower barrel gasket from aus. still looking for head gasket. mains and big ends may not be needed but not wasting time.

    there's a head gasket on ebay, but it's $109 for both head and cylinder base gaskets

    I hope that you document your build process ;)
