Main fuse I think so , the one located off the positive connector just a abit up connected to the battery , or the ones on the left hand side up the front of the bike ?? I think that's all the fuses , yeh checked them , nothing but some corrosion , which I'm working on removing now

    Thanks man , as in xcitebikes.com.au ??

Just make sure your fuel tap is on, then have a go, I would try full choke and then hit the starter..

hey man , I have done that ,I assumed I flooded its because all I could smell was petrol coming out the exhaust , which I spose would mean my fuel tap is on the right way , whole time owning the bike I never actually knew what was what haha , so im letting it sit also have propped the bike up perfectly straight hoping that may help , the tank was empty and I put in 2 litres of fresh fuel so I hope that would be enough , I don't have a fuel cap so I didn't want to put to much in..

If you try to start the bike several times, and the bike doesn't start because of bad reg/rec, bad battery, or any other reason, it's very likely that your spark plugs are no longer good. Especially if you notice a strong smell of petrol coming off the exhaust. Engine might be flooded, or plugs just not sparking as they should anymore.

The good news is that plugs cost around $4 each.

yep, side fairings off, then remove the front pin at the bottom of the radiator and you have access to change them

I can only speak for the zxr but I needed to unbolt the radiator. I left it hooked up on the hoses, just supported it wasn't too horrible much better then changing the 8 plugs on my old vx SS.

Make sure you the appropriate tool to more the spark plug. It will make the job a lot easier to have a socket, with a piece of rubber inside, so the plug "plugs in" the socket. When you remove the socket from where the plugs are, the plug comes with the socket. This way you don't have the hassle of removing the plug by hand.

These sockets are not expensive at all, but don't buy the cheapest one (around $9), as they don't work so well as mid-quality one. And pay attention the socket is not for cars only, but can be used on bikes, as you don't have much clearance to use a straight tool.

This is a CBR600, but he is using a decent spark plug socket:

i cant be bothered explaining it all again so please read one of my previous posts if your not following , thank you .
okay so the new regulator is on , after telling my self "patience , patience" for a hour as to not break anything further and a little bit of tool bending and i got the spark plugs in , question one , how tight should the spark plugs be, ? i did not want to over tighten so i didn't really force it tight , as soon as i had to work hardish to turn it i stopped , is that fine or give it a little bit of elbow grease ?
and yeh so well ive got them in , put the new battery in ,its turning over , but still its just blowing petrol fumes out the exhaust . . ive just about had enough of this ,so question number two , what is this thing worth now ? , ive gotten brand new redbull fairings (havnt even put them on it yet ) new reg and new sparkplugs and tyres that i didn't even do 100ks on(listen to the tyre guy if he says don't hammer into cornors with new tyres ) , i stacked it once , managed to slow down a **** load before i got thrown off so it was just a few scaratchs on the bike, and that's not what killed it , i road away after its un-flooded its self .
cheers for your input everybody and anybody
