Seems the forks popped back into 'square' when we loosened the triple trees...... someone has been playing about with it all as the bolts and screws were not 'factory tight' Hopefully it will all be 'correct' when we have the wheel on and all tightened up.
Grey, is this the sprocket you bought? http://www.slipstreamperformance.co...-FZR250-1986-1993-JT-rear-sprocket-steel.aspx It has 47 teeth, the one on there has 42 teeth... I also notice that the "std" small sprocket says 17t as std... the one on there is 13t, and 42t for the big sprocket.... Anyone know what standard is? http://www.slipstreamperformance.co...FZR250-1986-1993-JT-front-sprocket-steel.aspx
17/56 is stock (428 chain ... 130 links min) 13 is way too small and the chain will have been chewing into things. Have a play here , but stock is the way to go initially . http://www.gearingcommander.com/
This is wat I put on mine and as we discussed its terrible for 100kmh cruising 1 x Yamaha FZR250 JT front sprocket, steel = $10.00 Size 15t + $0.00 1 x Yamaha FZR250 JT rear sprocket, steel = $48.00 Size 57t + $0.00
Only in asian markets with limited factory support, most likely Thailand Yamaha exclusive factory made. There is information on all of it if you look, but probably still in conception phase.
Hey, this looks good.... http://www.slipstreamperformance.co...250-1986-1993-Tsubaki-BMA-chain-sprocket.aspx
The flying grasshopper finally came off the wooden blocks New front wheel bearings and seals ..... and I 'think' we may have straightened the front end skew... bit of high speed testing needed though. nearly looks like a bike ......
Looking good Hit up http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/ and you might find suitable chain and sprockets (I got JT sprockets at DID chain)
