I was hoping to attend one of the TDRA events this year, but it may not be this one.

Are any of the forum members planning to enter?

I am going to save up and maybe do the May event. Bit steep having a $110 increase from last year, my pension has not gone up that much and add $20 more and I can do a track day (6x20 minute sessions on track) at Morgan park (Warwick, QLD). Might just ride over to Gunnedah on the Sunday to spectate.

Yep, I'm thinking the same thing. The weather is always a bit nicer (cooler) in May too. What about Pete and your grandson? I'm thinking the increased fees will definately put Mason out of the picture.

@GreyImport don't put the bike back in the shed just yet. Are you keen to do the March event? I was thinking that there will be a lot of bikes there, but the increased entry fees might deter many. Let us know what you're thinking of doing. I'm guessing @Linkin might want to make the trip up from Sydney with the Pink Lady? I'll be happy to race, but only if it's not 40 degrees like it has been in the past.

Happy to wait till May .... apart from the bike not running as yet , the weather is a major factor for me also

I was away for a week at the end of the school hols in January , fishing at Yamba and at my bros farm and it was unbearable weather .... the heat really knocked me about
Standing around an open paddock in Gunnedah on a hot day is something I could do without these days.

Okay. I will try to change my Boat trip to May and see you all then.

I was supposed to go home via Sydney to pick up some bits from @TonyZXR but I guess he might be able to hold on until May.

A zillion cars .... plenty of shitbox commos and the like but a couple of "real" dragsters as per usual and a few bikes

@Frankster ... ol mate on the yellow bike was asking after you ..... he mentioned the T word :D

Thanks for posting that info and the pics Chief. Looks like Greg (old mate) has made a few mods to his bike. He would have been heading to the salt until it was cancelled. He's been keen to run 200mph on the salt for a couple of years now. Hopefully, he's still cancer-free. Was the 'T' word 'Turd'? Don't answer that.

Good to see Brian Vernon there too. Looks like 5 bikes, so not too bad of a turn up for Saturday. Would have been good if you, me and Murdo were in the hunt; next time. New surface looks pretty good. Did any of the bike guys comment on it?

There was another bike , so 6 .... I think he was the young dude who drove one of those "no prep" drag cars so I dont think he did many runs

I didnt hear any complaints about the new surface so I guess its a winner

The guy on the stretched ZX14 was having problems getting traction and/or not wheel standing .... he had the rear pressure so low u could push in the centre of the tyre with your fingers ..... interesting fella to chat with.

I sat with Brian and his wife for a bit (pinching their shade) ..... nice people

I thought the same .... if we were all there , it would have been a decent turnout of bikes

The hot dogs were pretty good too

Hopefully, @Murdo went out today and can give us an update on the Sunday happenings. Otherwise, we'll have to wait for Lamby Shoots to post something on YT.

I have booked the Boat so I will be on the mainland for the next meeting. Time permitting, I can get Peter to help me install and configure the quickshifter. What bike are you aiming to get running for May 11th/12th?

I just realised Greg (old mate) raced at WSID recently. I didn't click that it was him as his bike has had a paint job and an extended swingarm installed. Also, don't tell him but the guy riding the bike at WSID looked to be carrying less mass than Greg!

[IMG]Motor Bikes: Greg Horadam from Wylie’s Flat started with the better reaction on his Kawasaki ZX14R, but Shawn Close from Muswellbrook riding the YZF Yamaha ran an 8.002 and an 8.000 dial-in to take the win.

I'm not sure I'd be proud of a 0.287 reaction time, but there it is. Greg is definitely running much harder with the bike mods; dialed in at 6.95, so he must have run close to that at some stage during the weekend. Bring on the May meeting.
