Weird, was the photo taken on a blue tarp? If so that's where I bought a few parts for my old RS

Miyabeeplus or something. I just thought it was weird for the parts to come out of Japan but good condition and good price

The Aprilia has taken a backward step, Im not sure why, I always seem to have other things to do, so this weekend with Phil's help we set about finishing it. We didnt quite get there, but we did mange to get the master link done up on the chain and adjusted the rear wheel, the next task was fitting a replacement rear brake cylinder to the rearsets and get them fitted to the bike.
The last 2 jobs were to bleed the master cylinder and fit the fairings to the bike, lets just say after 3 hours of trying to bleed the brakes we had a severe case of the shits, what we did find was that there is a leak on the replacement brake cylinder and air was getting in where the feed for the brake fluid is. I have used some sealant on the joint and am hopeful it will work. I will have another crack at it this week. Then it should be good for rego and a ride in the hills.

well, the sealant didnt work and I find myself getting a severse case of the poos with this bike, I need to get it sorted as it deserves to be ridden. I called my local Aprilia dealer for a price on a new brake cylinder and they want $160 but say it wont be in until Mid to late january. I ended up sourcing an OEM one from the US for $56 plus shipping, so I have now ordered it.

I keep telling myself, wont be long now :)

It's december now, you'll be very lucky if it arrives this year depending on your postage selection

I had some stuff recently that took over 2 weeks to get from America to our shores. Plus another 5 days to get to my door. Which is ridiculous, I've had things from summit in a week

finally have some semblance of brake pressure, but not 100%, I have now found only one piston is working in the caliper (there is 2), if it aint one thing its another...

I have tried to disassemble the caliper, but the bolts that hold the caliper together are rusted solid and wont budge, I have sprayed some WD40, am going to bed in a crappy mood, at least I know the brake cylinder now works. Maybe I should splash out on a braided line while I am at it :D
