I read all that I could find on the site about fitting an aftermarket muffler to my 3LN. I then went in search of a replacement can for my bike, because the one I had was looking pretty ruff. In the end I decided to go with an original one that will arrive next week for me to fit.

I wanted to share with you all some info that I found in the process:

The exhaust noise compliance plates for NSW rule is not so any longer

Show and Go Motorcycles in SA www.showandgo.com.au
can sell you a Megacycle sports muffler to suit from around $440.

But if your looking for an original muffler, start by talking to any of the major bike importers that specialise in 250's. I picked up a pearler from www.importmc.com.au for $110. If you looking to go this way, either email them through the site or go and see them at City Motorcycle Wreckers in Slacks Creek QLD. Ask for Mark.

P.S. My FZR will be for sale soon. I just bought a 2001 R6 on Thursday!

While it's too late to be of any benefit, mine has a Remus pipe. It is just a ~50mm straight thru. The tube is perforated and I guess packed with fibreglass. Not a lot of sound attenuation but the EXUP keeps the peace at lower revs.
