Started burrowing into the clutch/gearbox of the spare fizz motor ...... must be some chunky bits in the sump
Yea its only the spare motor ..... but Im doing the clutch on the main bike soon ..... I mainly want to get the transmission out to eventually put in mine as 3rd gear has a clunk.
Tested carbies for air leaks this morning by spraying carby cleaner on the carb to engine boots, I think it is but to be honest unsure. 2nd opinion?
Mr @GreyImport Check the bearings to see if they are C3 tolerance. Is often the case on wheel bearings. If they are there will be a suffix as per the image.
it might be those pods your running? do you have the original airbox to test the theory? I only say it due to when i didnt have the airbox seals my bike had a big flat spot... well the zxr did..
I'll test with the airbox but was running the exact same last time i had them on, I found it ran slightly better with the pods on to be honest. (in saying so tight arse and didn't feel like spending $100+ dollars for a new filter so paid less for 4 pods)
Yeah I've still got it and pretty sure it's past its life. This is after a blow out with a compressor.
If its like the FZR one its not paper .... well not like a throw away paper one The FZR ones are rare and expensive so as Ive mentioned before wash it in hot soapy water and put it in the sun as I did with mine ...... the only problem with yours is it has that crappy foam to seal it it up where the FZR has rubber. I would pull off the damaged foam and replace it with something similar or at least cut off the tatty bits. If it falls to pieces then youre no worse off Its the airbox and its configuration that controls the airflow , not just the filter.
