Rebuilt Scarlet's rear brake assembly, re-fitted the chain and made sure everything was tightened properly after this morning's near disaster. Will test after sleep!
Does that thing have a flux capacitor? I was half-expecting a blinding flash and for you to appear in the old west when I saw the right meter hit 88.8!
Back on topic, I rode Scarlet to and from work. About to swap the chain that came off yesterday for a newer (but still used) one. I don't trust it to get me to Tamworth after the odd noises it was making today.
Did a little bit for the 7R tonight. So I purchased 2x oil filters, some repco diesel oil and Motul 5100 as I need some cheap oil to do a quick 50kms to flush the engine. I also purchased some paint as I am going to hit the exhaust header whilst it is off the bike. May as well make the most of a bad situation So I now have the radiator off, exhaust off and removed the sump for a looksie and yes there were some metal shavings in the sump (Did not seem extreme but) I put the sump and clutch cover back on before packing up . Pics and a full update to come tomorrow or Saturday in my thread
didn't get to play yesterday, but Australia Post showed up with new chain and sprockets and my fairing bolt kit for the Aprilia
All back together No leaks, no clutch drag or slip WINNING. Also tidied the shed and put all my tools and chemicals away after making such a mess hah
