turning over bueatifully, got good spark, fuel and air. just not sure why. it sounds like it wants to start and has backfired a couple of times. it has to be something small or stupid. as i told kiffsta i am going to pull the carbs again today and tripple check that i have done everything right. :BangHead:

If its backfiring then its possible its firing in the wrong order....make sure the sparks leads are connected from the coils to the correct cylinders.

Yea if you have been cranking it over alot it will take the edge of a not new battery and it may not be producing a big enough spark to fire it up.

Alot of the bike shops in my area stock these now.....

    http://www.ssbpowersport.com.au/Products.aspx?btype=roadbike

I put an AGM in the Fizzer and after the rebuild I cranked it over a million times and tested lights etc etc (engine not running) and its still A1 ....and it hasnt had any recharge.

Im not at home to check but I think it was around $70 ?

Looks in good shape...hopefully it eventually runs well too... ;D

Double check the plug caps are actually screwing into the wires and not just the rubber.

hi guys, thanks to all that added some imput into my zxr. well the verdict as of a hour ago is that i got the bloody thing to start and run for about 5 mins or more. the room filled with smoke and all the crap that came out the tail pipe. but it started and ran. so all most there now itbis to get it to run nicer and easyer. so i will keep you all in the know as soon as it gets better. so thanks again.

yeah, it was a combination of things, battery, cams around the wrong way, redoing all the shims, and then clean the cards for the sixth time as some thing blocked it up, then when i blew through the vacume line a big blob of dirt or some thing came out the back of the cards. and last but not least i had to crank the crap out of it and it started. its noy running the best but it is running. till i get a chance in the morning to sort it.
