Its been discussed in a few threads ..... put it in the forum search box http://2fiftycc.com/index.php?search/177145/&q=plastex&o=date
I bought some from mcas couple months ago. They said that they lost the supplier or something. Sorry cant be much help
MCAS use to have Plastex in stock, but only small packages. Plastex comes in different sizes, choose the one that will last a few repairs. Last time, I bought from an online shop, they had the larger bottles.
just ordered the 55$ kit. their website[mca] was slow. need for tamworth and weather crappy here. could have bought cheaper in the states. will compare the liquid to acetone when the kit arrives.
Last sidecover I repaired I used some Devcon plastic welder. So far it has held, but I think the plastex would do a better job and stronger.
I've got some, I told you, have you been on the acetone again? When your here tomorrow you can use it if your in a hurry. I got my kit from USA, they are double the price here, took a little while to get here. It's really good stuff worth the wait. I got the clear, next time I'll get the black.
started today and feel it is overpriced and not enough liquid. dries out quick.will need to buy bottle of liquid soon. if it gets on your hands citrus cleaner will remove. active liquid ingredient is methyl methacrylate monomer and stinks.if anyone knows where to buy the monomer let us know.
http://www.net32.com/ec/unifast-trad-unifast-trad-liquid-refill-only-d-111075 I googled it and found its used in dentistry
Here in the US you can buy Plastex online and its available in the nearest store, but I believe Devcon plastic welder is way easier more easier to find in your area and works the same.
