Well, I had the pleasure of having Phil's help in the garage over the weekend, this was his first time seeing the Cibby and he was keen to do a few things to it to tidy it up. First part he replaced was the H Bar as the paint was a tad dodgy, I had a new Tyga one that I bought from @XCite Bikes so on it went. The next job was to replace the air ducts as I had some spares in great condition, the ones that were on there were painted and the paint was scratched and lifting. The Cibby arrived with a stock pipe on it and its seen better days, @Tim_ was looking at a spare DIC exhaust the has to see if would go on, but alas the holes dont line up with the headers. Tim did give me back my old stock pipe from his bike and that is now on there, Phil did give it a polish using "Purple" and its come up a treat.

It really is a nice bike and runs like a top, I wouldnt mind getting the carbs balanced and look at the mixtures as I think its running a tad rich. I also think the steering is a tad stiff so I will look to remove the headstem bearings and clean them up and regrease them. The only other real blemish is the front forks, the grey paint has come away, so at somepoint in the future, I will pull them off and rub them back and repaint them. The top clamp also needs a paint job, but for now, Im going to ride and enjoy it.
Its registered and Im stoked !!!

I rode the Cibby to work and it ran quite well until I got stuck in traffic, once she got hot, she wouldn't hold an idle, it sounded like she was running on 3 pots, I was revving it up to 8000RPM just to get it off the line. The trip home was similar, so I thought screw it, I pulled the carbs off and fitted my LiteTek kit and new boots. The carbs were absolutely spotless, I was amazed although the air mix screws had no metal washers in 3 of them. The air fuel screws were set at 2 and bit turns out, whereas they should be 1 3/4 for a CBR250RRL . I have just put the carbs back on and took her for a test ride., It pulled much like my old CBR that @Tim_ bought. However I found some back streets and took her up to 16000 in several gears then slowed down and tried get it to 16000 again and she coughed and spluttered before coming good.

Any ideas ? Im thinking the petcock might be starving fuel ( BTW, no in-line fuel filter)

    Im close, but no cigar

Would be checking all vacuum line and check the diaphragm In the petcock remember how mine was leaking and allowing air in.
