it actually is. The across's petrol tank is under the seat and where the tank normally is is a luggage compartment big enough to fit a helmet.
their tank is a lot smaller to get under the seat and they weigh more than a new zx6! ( apparently about 40kg more than the fizzer)

    Don't wish that upon anyone!

Some across facts/specs: They weigh in at 165 kg dry (so about 20+ kg's more than a fzr), are larger overall, rev lower than the fzr (across riders always hype on about how their bike is one of the highest revving - it only goes to 16 000) , has dual carbs rather than the 4 on the fzr (not entirely sure of the difference because the across puts out just about the same power as the fzr), and has a little less torque (but on given that 250's have virtually no torque to begin with it isn't a big deal). Their petrol tank is 10+2 I think, so it is the same as the 2kr - but it is under/behind the riders seat which I would presume move the centre of mass further back (again not sure of the implications). Most across riders will complain about the seat being too hard - it is much softer than the fzr seat. But they have a boot able to hold a helmet plus some other miscellaneous things (however if the battery fails on the across you can't get into the boot, and I have also heard of riders leaving their keys in the boot, in which case they can't get power to the bike and can't open the boot to get their keys which they need to open the boot...)
