The 3HX1 bikes were 2KR's and had EXUP, if I remember, so it's possible with the right parts. It is only an exhaust valve controlled by the ignition box and cables after all.

Cheers Linkin, I'll leave it for now but it'd be a good upgrade once I'm up'n running

the exup valve smooths the power delivery and the early muffler system had no provision for it.

Hi everyone, I've come across something and if anyone can help it'd be great, anyway, of the two frames I have there are 2 different set-up's for the rear shock mounting assembly. One is the linkage type and the other looks like it may be no linkage at all and mount straight to the swing arm, I haven't identified all the bits yet so can anyone clarify this for me ?

Hi everyone, a quick question following on from last post, of the 2 HX1 frames I have both have different mounting points for the shock on the swing arm. One has holes through the side of the swing arm for th linkages to attach, the other has a piece of pipe under the crossmember with roller bearings in it. Can anyone tell me if they are different models, and does anyone have the swing arm with the holes in the side of the swing arm they would sell. I'll try and put up some pics.

Hey Kiffsta, thanks for that mate, but will the 3ln swing arm be the same as the 2kr or 3hx1 ?

And also I've got 2 different swing arms from supposedly the same model. One shock has like a piece pipe the connecting bolt goes through the other shock has a square u shaped bracket the bolt goes thru, do you know if they are different models or has one had the swing arm upgraded or something. I hope that's not too confusing, cheers mate

Mine is 2kr, one shock has a bottom mount the same as the photo, the other has a mount the same as the top mount on the shock and the swing arm is different, the linkage doesn't mount under the swing arm through the piece of round bar, there is a hole in each side of the swing arm just behind the cross brace, and the mount on the bottom of the frame is different also, it's frame number is 2KR 136113. The one like your photo is 2KR 175187. What do you think ? Is the different one just an early 2KR frame ?

Hey everyone, just a reminder to people about not locking garage, had a heap of f----n tools stolen last night and amongst them was a box of parts, my recently rebuild carbs all sealed up ready and waiting, a fuel tank, new rear disc and a couple of bolts n hoses n stuff. Teach me for being lazy and not locking up properly, they probably thought it was all tools cause the bike bits were in one of my big tool boxes.other bits n pieces gone to, some camping stuff, my kids bike boots n helmet. The grubs will get karma up the you know what, but it's still not as satisfying as getting ya hands on me. Too many scumbags out there these days boys, so lock up and keep all you can out of sight. Dreary way to start the week, but just a bump in the road, lucky I've got some spare carbs and bits n pieces. Anyway enough grumbling n groaning, gotta get back on with it. I don't know if many will see this post so any who do see it remind ya mates to keep stuff safe cause the mongrels don't care who they hurt for a couple of dollars. All the best guys
