side stand switch, good one Brisfox... we all missed that one , also does it need the clutch lever in to spark ? Have a look at the perch for 2 wires to see if they are connected
No side stand switch, I have noticed that the oil light doesn't turn on! I'll check it tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Clutch lever needs to be in, I closed the circuit. That was my one of my first mistakes! Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
before forking out moneys for a battery, get the one out of your car and truly confirm the spark theory. just about every non-running bike i buy is bought back from the dead via a big dirty truck battery
You aren't alone Cal, can't recall how many times the bonnet is lifted, jumper leads hooked up, followed by some serious cranking, with many a good outcome!
Update, put the jumpers on the bike today, cranked her over, loads of spark!! Sprayed a bit of "Start Ya Bastard", fired up and purring like a kitten. Thanks for everyones Help. I can now strip her down and give her a clean, paint and re-assemble!
