Agree with Cal, you have a spare bike so why not use it so get the other on going, makes sense.

I did some work on her today!
    Tested
    1. Coils, resistance good, 12volts to terminals.
    2. Pick ups, resistance good,
    3. Battery good voltage.
    4. Leads good.
    5. New spark plugs.

    Still no spark!!!

Big voltage drop on the coil terminal when starting (7v)!
Thought I'd take the battery out to give it a charge. Blow me down, it has a baby battery. [IMG]

If the battery was cranking the engine then I wouldn't think that a new battery will help to give you spark, Have a look at the rh switch block , maybe the kill switch is at fault.

Checked that first. Kill switch is fine, when you switch it, it takes the voltage off the coils? Got me baffled I hoping it's just a dodgy battery. When you don't turn he bike over it has 12v to the coils, when you turn the bike over the voltage to the coils drops to 5.6v. So some times when you just stop turning the bike over it does one spark.

if that doesn't fix it, then I would suggest that you get a multi meter and check each wire in the loom for continuity, must be a broken wire somewhere.

Justin does it have a side stand switch, also an oil warning light that stops the spark if either of these contacts are not closed/open.
Been having a look on the net and I've got to say that these bikes look very similar to the early NSR, frame wheels etc.
I recon a Mc18 fairing could be adapted front end needs work but they pump out 40 hp standard and don't weigh alot.
