I replaced the dead spark plug I found the other day. While I had the radiator off I figured I would chuck the hose in it and give it a good flush out then decided that while the radiator is off I'll give the engine a little bit of a clean with degreaser to get all the crap off. Once the engine was clean I decided to give the exhaust a bit of a polish which also lead to giving the headers a light sand to remove any surface rust. All I wanted to do was change a spark plug....

I'm guessing it must just be a guy thing. It happens to me all the time with just about anything I do.

Now I am in my phone I can post the pictures.

Back wheel was wiggling. So replaced the bearings for a price of $0 thanks to the maintaince fitter at work and their cupboard of bearings.

    image.jpg
I got some miss information. So the middle bearing is the wrong size. But lucky my bearing in the sprocket housing was fine and spun smoothly. So only needed 2.
image.jpg image.jpg Clearly this was the problem bearing. Pulled the dust cover off and she was fooooked. Lots of rust. Had to soak it in inox to get it out.

Will wait until tomorrow to post video of the wiggle movement in the old bearing. And how stiff they are compared to the new ones.

So pulled all the tape off the engine looking much better then it did the other day XD taper cover will be a similar red to the cabinet in the pic. Also when i went to put the coolant intake pipe on i noticed the orings were well and truely perished. Still have to wait for the orings for the outlet pipe to come in.

Replaced the plugs on the cibby. The old ones weren't too bad, you could tell she was running rich so I backed the mixture screws 1/4 of a turn. Replaced the coils with some spares I had at home and reassemble the bike. Phil and I went for a half hour ride and she didnt cut out .

Added a new pair of bar ends and fitted the fzr exhaust. Played with the mixture a little. It's us a little hard under 5000 as expected but is very strong from 6-10000.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Well it wasn't today but before I left for work I fitted a Trail Tech Endurance gauge so I know how fast I'm going! The other mount is for my cell phone which I use as a GPS on occasion.
