Got my bike registered this afternoon. My first experience riding on the road consisted of wet roads and a knob in a large 4x4 that cut me off at a merge point.

I swapped the A model forks for the C model forks on Kit.. then cleaned up all the flaky bits and sprayed the triple clamps black... pictures to come

I'll see what I can do with the display pic. I'm glad I don't travel to and from work during peak hour.

that was going to be my plan.. but the mold markings from the casting process was we just way to prominent so I decided to paint them... pretty sure all ZXR gear was painted cause these clamps even had a clear coat..lol

Mine are covered in scratches and it seems like there is some sort of coating on them which I am assuming is clear coat. Might just be easier to paint them black. Would go with the rest of the bike.

i used a dremel with a wire wheel to get the clear and the paint layer off... dust musk at the least and safety glasses are a must

I played around with the old zxr250 this arvo. Then took it for a semi naked (the bike) strap to get fuel it's running worse lol. I can't figure out if the carb boots or the carb air breathers are leaking however that is now moot point....

As on the test track I forgot a roundabout was much sharper then it looks especially at night. So I went up the square gutter at about 30 under full brakes l, I didn't fall off Damage assessment tomorrow. It did feel alittle weird but held air. Should of known to take it easy seen I hadn't been on a bike for 3 weeks :(
