    Hi Guys,
    this is a project I'm starting too early haha

    Thought I would finally show my parts bike for those playing at home. Obviously I've pilfered afew thing :) it did come with the rest in a box and started and ran but the carbs were in dyer need of a clean and I have since used that set in my runner but this one might end up a street fighter yet :)

    I have acquired a terrible set of carbs from Tim today and my plan is to Frankenstein my 2 discarded sets of carbs into one good set.

    These carbs were butchered, stripped pilot mixture screws WTH! and the main jetting was set left to right
    125,128,125,128 LOL how Tims bike even slightly ran with this is beyond me haha

    They are filthy including 2 completely blocked main jets and look at these float bowls!

    Mate if u now some with a mill u could use a endmill and drill out that the best way if not dremel a flat centre punch and drill out 1/2mm smaller use a pick and try and crack the thread away had to do many time during apprenticeship long and painful but can be done with out damage

    At this point in time I would like to say that I did not in any part do this to these carbs. Thank you your honour. Council you may complete your examination. Lol


    Also I'm saying go a track bike. Purely so we can finally test what yourself and kiffsta said about the kwaka being the faster bike.

    I don't understand how you strip a mixture screw this bad they aren't meant to be tight! Lol. Cheers mate I'll get it!

    Thank god we didn't touch them...... Haha JK, I hope your new carbs are better ;)

    My new carbs a sweet as pie mate. But a Litetek seal kit does not hurt.

    See how she goes on the road first mate, if it revs clean to 18000rpm and goes like a shower of **** you don't need new seals. If it bogs down then you might :) or tuning. I can help with both.

    Re the carb screw. Try an engineering supply shop for a 'left hand drill' about half the size of the screw. Carefully drill down the centre (with drill in reverse) and it should 'catch' and screw the brass bit out without damage to the carb.

    Allright so I gave the good bits a clean and threw together a set of carbs today just stuck them in to the carby boots and fed a little fuel into them and it fired and ran so yeeha.

    No luck with removing that pilot screw. snapped the easy out FFS! its not completely wrecked.. both sets of carbs carb no1 has a housing issue DAMN IT!

    Because of how tight it was in there, I has hand turning it and it still let go!

    Easy outs and brass are not a good mix. Can you get the broken off bit out?

    Not easily I will have to get some other tools. It's on the too hard table for now, I'll come back to it.

    Ok with it being stuck best way is to edm (electric discharge machining) while as a fitter if a tap snapped in a job this was best way to remove without damage

    Place we use to get done was called product engineering at Stafford dunno if they still do but assume they would give them a buzz sure it won't cost much
