Try starting with the tank and pet cock off, just fill the fuel line using an aux tank

Did you try putting fuel directly into the cylinders?

What is "great"? Are you at 12.7V or above at rest on the battery?

Its between 13-14v, as i said its great.

Thanks will give that a try.

I pulled the spark plugs out again after trying to start it earlier, they were wet with fuel and the middle two had blued slightly if that means anything?

Leave the plugs out to let the cylinders dry out for a couple of hours before you try again.
Have you tried using some sort of eather spray (aerostart, start ya bastard, etc) to see if you can get it to fire?

Did you check/remove &/or replace your float valves/seats & seat filter ? Also check for blockages under the seats. They can get totally clogged up with gunk as there is no fuel filter from the tank.
The factory setting is 2.5 turns out for the Air/Fuel mix which works a treat on my 250A.

Thought id give and update and see if anyone has any fresh ideas.

I found the piece of paper from the mechanic when i had the compression check. I was mistaken it was a leak down test with less than 5% leak in each cylinder.

I have tried to start the engine with engine starter fluid and no go.

I think its safe to assume the problem is not the carbs of a fuel issue.

I believe its an electrical issue, The bike had a recently new shorai battery which ive now discovered is faulty after putting it on my other bike which has no issues what so ever, but didnt start with that battery even though it was turning over and showing good voltage.

anyway, shorai replaced the battery and the bike still doesnt start even with the brand new one.

so i think there is an electrical fault that has caused the battery to fault or the other way round.

Something else that may be helpful is that i noticed the engine was cranking much slower than normal but the starter motor was checked over by the mechanic and they said it was good.

it still seems to be cranking slower than it previously had with the new battery.

Check for spark on all 4 cyl. Cranking over does not necessarily mean the battery has the amps to spark, especially if it's a cheap/low quality battery.

I had a battery that did exactly the same thing, cranked for ages but was to weak to spark properly.

    Thanks!
Have checked the spark on each plug a million times, they look good individually. Even with the faulty battery they all had spark.

Should I be checking all four at the same time? all leaning against the engine? i have been doing them one at a time.

If you got spark/compression/fuel then it should fire. If it's not firing, one of those 3 things has failed.

Make sure you got the ignition leads in the correct order. I've had them plugged into the wrong holes before & it took me 24hours to figure out that plug 3 & 4 were backwards LOL!!!!!!!!!

What was the compression on all 4 cyl from the mechanic report ? Should be around 160-170psi from memory ?

+1 on the order of the spark leads, failing that pour a small bit of oil through the spark plug hole and see if she fires then. if she does, then its compression.
