Hey guys, I had some trouble the other day starting the bike, which resulted in the battery going dead. So I got my missus to bring my jump starter and got her fired up. Just as the missus was about to leave, the bike stopped. So I jump started again and the same thing happened several times. I did manage to get the bike home eventually.

I thought it was a crap battery not holding charge, and I have since replaced it with a new one.

Now the new development, I installed a volt meter with an LCD screen. On idle, the bike will sit on >12v, and while riding it climbs to about 13v at 6k rpm.

It looks like my charging system is cactus.

Anyone know what to replace or where to start?

    Cheers guys!

Sounds like the stator is cactus, download the manual and there are some tests you can do to check it , if you need a stator, pm me as I have a couple here

100% stator problem, if you want to rule out the rec/reg, just pull its connector out and run the bike, if pulling the connector out makes no difference, there's only the stator left in the circuit.
