ZXR250 Shim size

    decided to check my valve clearances and they are tight, so i need to get some shims. I have been looking everywhere and asked different mechanics, some say 7.5mm and some say 7.9mm, anyone here know the exact size?

    im after the diameter of the shims as i can only get 7.5mm shims locally, i read somewhere the zxr uses 8mm shims in which case i will have to order a shim kit.

    I'm just going to measure the diameter of the shim when the cams come off, pretty certain they are 7.48mm.

    I measured mine at 7.5 when I had them out. I ordered new ones from Precision Shims Australia.

    thanks mate, could only find 2 posts on google after searching for 30 minutes And they both said different sizes, i was sure all the 250 screamers would use the same size shims.
