New Member ZXR250 in North East Melbourne

    Hi all. Picked up a 91 zxr250 that wasnt running(freebie) . (for my 19 yr old son)
    Having a whale of a time trying to figure out the issues.
    Replaced Needles and seats, after finding inlet port full of fuel. Cleaned out all jets etc on the carbs
    Found the Sump full of petrol when we did get it running and it was gushing out the crankcase breather :( ... That could have been interesting if it had got hot...
    Worried about that happening again, with these petcocks that are notorius... Albeit the new Needles should prevent right ?

    Anyway, here is a pic, prev owner must have been thinking stealth bomber...

    On the C model if its still setup correctly , PRIME setting on the fuel tap allows fuel to run at any time ...including with bike off
    ON and RES operate via vacuum and no fuel flows with bike off
