Ive just bought my 95 zxr250 C and looking for some braided brake lines. Ive looked on the HEL website but they dont make braided lines for the zxr250, but do make them for the zxr400. Does anyone know where to find 250 braided lines? if not, would the 400 lines fit? cheers, James
If you cannot find ready made ones, my son works for Pirtek hydraulics and has the RTA licence to make them for road use. Send your old ones for patterns. Price is around the $120 a set for most bikes.
Hey James, I tried to get a set for my zxr250A a while ago and wasn't able to find any. I think I went with zxr400 lines from memory, which were a tad bit long I will double check my purchase history on eBay. The lines I got were 'race' ones which deleted the stock t-piece and went direct to each of the front caliper via a double banjo bolt on the master cylinder. If I bought them again, I'd probably get ones made up for better fitment.
I have Venhill braided lines for a 400 on my '95 C model and they fit with no real problem. The right hand line is a little bit tight when the front stand is on but aside from that they're great!
