Trying to find out the size of the bolts for the swing arm spools and from what little info I have found the consensus seems to be that they are M12 bolts. Can anyone confirm this or should I just go to the local nuts and bolts joint and see what they have that will fit?

The zxr has a weird size you won't be able to find spools that screw in. Mine has a set with a long bolt and a nut on the inside which is a massive PITA

Yea I bought a set of Ebay that proclaimed to be for a ZXR250
They were too small and I think were 10MM

My plan was to find out what size the bolts were and then get the biggest spools I can find and drill them out to fit the bolts.

@Tim_ if they fit then I'm not gonna say no.

well for anyone reading, they use m12 bolts with a fine thread. Picked up some bolts today then stopped in at the local bike shop and happened to find some 12mm spools for $12 so I grabbed them as well.

Yes I can confirm the the size of the swing arm spools are 12 mm here a Japanese Motorcycle Parts site. I just bought all new stainless steel breaded brake lines for my 92 ZXR 250 C. Also if any one is interested I just also bought the front, and 2 lower side fairings from a fiber glass company in Sydney brand new the side fairings include the duct work for the air intake system! as soon as they arrive I am hoping top get them straight to Ace of Sprays. These 2 side fairing where on sale for about 100 bucks each the front fairing looks solid and better then any Chinese fairing I have ever seen plus they are 100% Australian made!!!!!

Na only black ones. Found them at canberra motorcycle center. They were the only set they had and I had to get different bolts to fit them.

Funny thing about those 12 mm spools is that a used parts dealer on Allgas St. Springwood sold me 10 mm spools saying Kawasaki was only M 10. A few other "experts where unwavering" but I got my M12 spools and one extra set of M10's went on my 300 and the other made a nice gift for a mate with an '08 250 Ninja. LOL
