Just wondering what sort of rims and tyres people use for the Zxr? Looking at mainly track/Race oriented. Wondering about things like has anyone found a decent 17 inch rear rim to use in conjunction with slicks? What sort of tyre widths seem to work best on this particular bike? and so on. Any info to steer (no pun intended) me in the right direction is appreciated. Cheers.
I know not a lot of people race the zxr due to the 18" rear wheel as it's hard to find tires for. Just did some googling and a zr250 balius wheel is a 17" and seen one on a zxr in this video on YouTube. I think the rest will be up to you. I might be able to comment on the difference of running a 140 rear compared to the 150 rear I previously had. Also Perelli sport demons compared to dunlops. Only if I get my bike rideable again soon lol
