   so i just bought a 1998 zx2 and there is no pressure in the brake leaver. my plan is just replace the master cylinder then rebuild it. what are options? I've heard a zx6 is possible, whats the difference?

   Have you tried bleeding your brakes ?, its quite possible the fluid has gone off if its been unused for a period.

   Yea what have u done with the current system?
   
   Whats it look like in the reservoir?
   
   It may need a clean out and as mentioned ,new fluid bled thru
   
   Also the pistons may need pushing back into the calipers to make sure they arnt stuck
