Was just doing some research this time last week and seen something about Honda releasing a new learner legal 250cc. When i had look @ Yamaha new 250 bikes, seem's as though this popped up. Anyone know or heard anything about it? Ill pull a 10 grand loan to buy one of these if they coming soon XD http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=e ... a=N&tab=wi

it will be the same as the yzf125. (that this is a photoshop of) so will be aother dull sportsbike that never lives up to the older versions. =p
yamaha should go the whole hog and make it a 4 cylinder and at least have a 21000 red line but no it will be a twin and rev to 12000 and be dog slow a gsxr250 is also in the making as well that will be all show and no go just like the ninja 250r as well that got the engine out of the gpx250 that was a dog as well at least when i see one on the road my fzr250 will leave them for dust u cant beat the old stuff long live fzrs
lol, i agree ferret, it seem's as though that would be the case. definetely wont compete with the FZR250R. Seem's like they're trying to prevent us from speeding on Australian roads, i definetely dont think they'll make quicker bikes then whats currently available.
yes thats the same problem over here .speed cameras all over the place but a lot are forward facing so can speed through them giving finger at same time .the 250 does look nice but if it does not go fast u will get aprillia 125s and mitos going passed you .just have to see what happens when it comes out .
there is too many speed cameras here... but most of them dont pick up bikes anyway. its the sneaky police in the bushes that get ya. =p i have just found proof that the 05-06 (i think, the last rounded one they did) r6 fairing fits on the older fzr400, and that is the same frame (dimensions) as the 250.. so im looking to get one. looks awsome too because the r6 is much smaller so the smaller fairing makes it look really agressive and solid. i'll try and link, but i cant remember the code..
how much did you pick them up for? where from? and be sure to get a before/after picture collection happening
im getting them off ebay, just normal second hand set for about £175. will need some lights though...
they havnt confirmed that that are doing it, but honda have said they are doing a new cbr250.. and there is some stuff going around about a ducati 250. so id have thought that yamaha will get somthing sorted. even if its just a limited edition.
Yamaha will release New YZF 250 R4. This motor seems to be a serious challenge Kawasaki Ninja 250 R. Yamaha manufacturing efforts seemed to bear new members of the caste YZF R slightly parted, at least Photos of the new sports Yamaha Motor has been spread in cyberspace. From the shape of this motor is not much to take from the design YZF R6 brother and sister who was born first YZF R125. The tank design, the front headlamp, rear view mirror, footstep, muffler, under fenders, rear fender, seat, and other details really adopted YZF R6 style. Unlike Ninja 250R handlebar, 250 R handlebar shape sporty type so that will force to rider little duck. Front tires have applied the dual-disc brake. Not a lot of data of YZF 250 R4 machine specifications, but the indication this bike in production with a minimum engine twin cylinder DOHC and supported by direct injection. Viewed from Yamaha brings courage spec rear tire tread width, apparently carried by the motor power is greater than the Ninja 250 R. My second indication of this bike will meet customers much higher than the Ninja 250R, at least until the $ 2000 higher than the Ninja 250R that are likely to face-to-face directly with the Cagiva Mito Aprilia RS 525 and 125.
