There's been some cracking races across all classes. You won't get bored.

WSBK show is in Aragon this weekend. Bautista having a 2019ish season & doing his best (crashed twice in race 1, once while leading comfortably!) to make the championship exciting. Toprak doing everything he can to secure another championship before heading off to BMW.

Well, the show is in Jerez and it's the final round of the 2023 season and despite his recent stumbles Bautista has secured a second title.

    Bautista.JPG

At the beginning of the season, I started a bit of running commentary about certain makes and riders. Following is my epitaph for the 2023 season.
    1. Tom Sykes should have stayed home.
    2. 2022 SSP champion Aegerter was inconsistant and his team mate (Remy Gardner) outscored him (as at 29/10/2023).
    3. Petrucci never really settling in.
    4. Honda no better than usual.
    5. Bautista's riding was enough to win the title. Next best Ducati riders were 350 points behind him.
    6. Little Bayliss didn't do too well in the SSP class and tied with Tom Edwards (26 points) for best of the Aussies.
    2024 Season

    Toprak to BMW
    Rea to Yamaha
    Bautista at Ducati

Top three men should still be at the pointy end. Can't see anyone stepping up to challenge them. BMW will win races.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Toprak, such a talent. Next season they are running a weight penalty so that will be interesting. I don't agree with the fuel restriction idea though.

Still a few holes to be filled. Iannone...can't wait to see how this plays out.

Hopefully he lives up to his nickname :D

The Lowes brothers can compete for the least amount of crashes ... or is that the most ? :dance2:

Bautista must be laughing all the way to another championship next year .... but I guess time will tell

Iannone is 34 and 4 years off the track years is an eternity. Looks like Gardner is getting used to race winning speed but everything hangs on whether the weight penalties make any difference. Meanwhile, Toprak has to perform a miracle and make a BMW win. Speaking of which, where was Toprak?

Is it me or does Kawasaki's testing paint scheme look a lot like Yamaha's race scheme?
