YES TOOK IT FOR A TEST RIDE IT WENT FINE THE TWO WEEKS LATER THE BIKE JUST TURNED TO **** I RUN MOBIL 8000 FEUL IN IT ONLY AND SO DID THE PREVIOUS OWNER THIS THING IS REALLY GIVING ME THE SHITS TOOK MY MATES BIKE FOR A RIDE WHICH IS THE SAME BIKE AND IT FELT LIKE A ROCKET COMPARED TO MINE DO YOU GUYS THINK I SHOULD SPEND THE CASH AND GET THE ENGINE RE BUILT AND EVERY THING ELSE OVERHAULED AT THE SAME TIME I JUST WANT IT RUNNING GOOD SO I CAN TRADE IT IN ON A BIGGER BIKE ANYWAY HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS AND GALS
yeah give it a complete rebuild when u may have 1 or 2 bung spark plugs, Do a bit of searching on this forum on checking clearences, balancing carbies and basic maintenance to filters and oil. Get ur bike compression tested first and if it is shot... then u hsould consider a rebuild

These things all need to be good for the bike to run properly.
do you guys think that maybe my bike might need a feul pump coz it dont have one and where the throttle hooks up to the carbs it isnt touching the idle screw i can get new carbs for it for a couple of hundred bucks the valve clearances seem fine and shims are good will the feul pump help to get more ks out of a tank and a dam good tune or does any one have a good set of 3ln 1 carbs for sale
The fuel pump will allow your bike to use the FULL tank of petrol instead of leaving a couple of litres in the bottom of the tank. That said, 80km out of a full tank is really really bad even for an out of tune FZR! Definitely make sure all the valves are within spec, that it has a clean air filter, then it's time to tear down those carb's and find out what's going on in there. As a matter of course a compression test might also help; if not prove that it's definitely the carbs that are your problem.
