    Hey blokes.
This is just a heads up for racing in NQ.
    The WMSC www.wmsc.org.au races motorcycles.
Track was built as a shared facility so we race roadies and motards.
    :D R.

I'll probably be up there a bit. We've got a unit in Airlie and were living there while the track was being built.

We have something like that in Tamworth, Oakburn Park.
What we don't have is any support for the few people who try to run these types of events, who then get sick of banging thier heads against the wall and give up and walk away. :D

A motard track was built using the go-kart track and some of the paddock. A couple of events were run but they did not make money and were dropped due to lack of support.
The governing body has put a lot of 'hoops' for the club to jump through, and these could be passed with help, but the bodies actually trying to do the work are racers who just want to race and don't want to get bogged down with paperwork.

Oakburn started out in the early '90s with lots of support, but when things took so long to get done a lot lost interest and walked away. I spent ten years trying to get both a touring car track and drag strip started, but I walked away when my head started to look like the wall.
