Now I know that there is not as much going on down-under with winter setteling in, so why the lack of posts? Too busy working on your rides?

I was wondering that a bit too. The only thing that I could think of is that it is currently university exam time here, so perhaps some of the forum members have been side-tracked with studying.

well...I've ALMOST got the bike back. $780 later and it's almost registered.

turned out the carb float bowls were flooded or something, and petrol had leaked into the oil from sitting so long. The forks were also slightly out of wack, so he had to bend these back and replace the seals.

Also bought my gear on the weekend - a further $900 for helmet, jacket and draggins.ouch, but can't really skimp on safety gear.

Now i'm just waiting on a flasher relay for the blinkers - $75 for a tiny plastic thing! what a rort!

anyway, will be hitting the road soon, maybe even this weekend. can't wait.

Yeah, I've noticed how quiet it's been here too - not many members I guess, compared to overclockers.mc anyway.

not quite on the road, but should have it registered on sat.

Update: I got that flasher relay for $15 2nd hand instead of brand new - much happier with that price!

I think I'll call my bike the fizzer...it's particularly apt, as it's beena bit of a fizzer to date i.e. I bought it thinking it just had cosmetic damage, and turns out to have a few other things such as bent forks, dirty carbs etc. Nothing major though...but still disappointing having a bike for weeks and not even hearing her run. I can't wait to start her up and take off!

    Freelancer

Hey Dean, let me know when you get Freelancer. I have TONS of stuff for it. I've been playing it since it was released. Good games once you get used to the controls.

Oh yeah, on-line, LAN, and single player. If you want to see the support/following/MODs for the game, go to http://www.lancersreactor.com/
Huge amount of killer stuff. A lot of it sucks too, but hey what can you do...
