Hie i have got fzr250 2kr model ..can any 1 tell me that when was 1st fzr 250 manafcured ?? wat was that year & i m confused coz in my bike book its written 1991 model ...but it seems that 2kr is not build after 1988 & my 2kr frame is in silver colour ...& i have also seen many 2kr frame in dark grey colour ...if any knws please reple me back....!! thankz Srry abut my english its v.poor !
The fzr250 was first manufactured around 1986/1987. There are really 2 models for these (described below): 2kr 1987-1988: Steel frame, single front disk, twin headlight, NO exup valve 1988-1988: Steel frame, single front disk, twin headlight, exup valve 3ln 1989-1991: Deltabox frame, dual front disk, twin headlight, exup valve 1991-1994: Deltabox frame, dual front disk, single headlight, exup valve The dates are approximate. Because the fzr is an import almost everywhere date stampings etc. will vary. For example - tanyathecheeky saw a definite 2kr that was stamped as a 1991 model. One must also be aware of manufacture date vs compliance date. Many people will try to sell the bike by compliance date (i.e. the date it was imported on) rather than the original manufacture date.
