Howdy chaps, I have a zxr250 and according to online records associated with its number plate, it's a 1989 ZXR250A. The frame no. Is zx250a-004331. I've never heard her running and I'm having a hell of a time getting it to fire, when I bought the bike it also came with an additional CDI, It has different part numbers and I'm wondering if im running the wrong CDI? Currently im running a CDI with part no. 21119-1290, the spare one has part no. 21119-1263. Can anyone shed any light on which is the correct CDI for my bike? Cheers!

Thanks for that link GreyImport, I now have the correct CDI for the a model, I'm just not sure how to tell if the bike has an A or a C model motor, is there an easy way to tell? Cheers

Engine number is near the right footpeg just under the clutch cover, I have an A model engine in a C model, most parts are interchangeable with the forks and front rotors the exception

Hi all are the c models all the same ? Specifically the clutch friction plates and timing chain? The resources section has part nos for zx250 c4/c5/c7 . Was there a c1,2,3,6 as well?

    Thanks

Lol no i was just there checking the prices. It came to $15 per fric plate from kawasaki and about 15 for the gasket. So thats about $90.00. Seemed resonable so i ordered. Getting them next week hopefully.

Im fairly sure its the same clutch basket and plates as a gpx 250, & even the timing chain, very common parts to source
