    Tena Koe Grendal,
    (Hello to you)
    This kiwi is kei te pai (well, good)
    I was also told by fellow motorcycle friends to try a piece of sheepskin on the seat . It wouldn't be nice to sit on when wet, would have to cover with plastic to waterproof...hmmm

    Yes the right wrist sure takes the punishment, Hubby reckons I'll harden up.

    Gidday Boz and Kev

    Hello!
    Looks pretty good. May have to go looking around for one of those... I know a shop down the road sells a cruise control, but don't think it is as simple and elegant as that!

    You've had it since December - have you had a chance to try it out yet? If so, how does it go?

    It works great. The knurled ring spins anti-clock-wise (same as opening the throttle)and pushes the twist-grip against the switch gear that houses the Kill Switch and what not. Holds it firm too.

    When on the highway I always have mine just snug enough to hold the throttle in a given position, not tight. Being that it is just snug, gives me the ability to adjust it acording to traffic conditions. When not in use, I just spin the ring clock-wise until it stops and I'm good.

    Boz, it'll work on your bike for sure. If you want I can hunt down his e-mail addy and send it to you. He is just north of the border from me. OR, you can wait a little bit and see if a friend and machinist from the Brotherhood can make some and I can get them to you that way. Your call. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

    Before I send you on a hunt for his address I will look into the options available here - there may be something similar already. I haven't really explored the possible options. I will let you know! (Probably won't have the time to explore options here for a few weeks though...)

    The guy in Canada could be convenient though - just have him ship the things to my parents, and I could pick it up at Christmas time when I am visiting home.

    Y'all let me know, because I recommend this to anyone that does more than 20 miles of freeway/straightline riding to get anywhere. Worth its weight as far as I'm concerned.

    The guy offered them to me for $68.50 USD each in a lot of 5. I didn't take it as I didn't have 5 friends, let alone 5 that wanted these. Still don't. BUT I found that he had a set advertised on eBay and I won them for $51. So there you go.

    longest ride was prob 12 hours, and most of it was hard cornering riding, along bells line of road to bathurst, a few laps around the track (oh god that was fun) and then on the freeway to my parents house in newcastle.
    total trip = 650km - 200km of freeway = 450km of corners constantly adjusting position on seat riding.
    the next day i couldnt walk, my ass and quads were that sore.

    but i'd do it again in a second <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

    i seem to have missed this thread for a while but here's a day for you - surfed 13th beach this morning then rode the fiz from Ocean Grove to Port Campbell (Great Ocean Road - bout 2.5 hrs) then cut back through the Otway Ranges from Apollo Bay to Geelong then back for another surf in the near dark (it was crankin) then back to Mebourne on the bike. (before you ask i took a mates car to the surf, not the bike)
    My neck's a little sore. Reached that point on the bike when you feel like just jumping off cos your aching so bad <!-- s:-? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Eyecrazy.gif" alt=":-?" title="Eye Crazy" /><!-- s:-? --> <!-- s:-? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Eyecrazy.gif" alt=":-?" title="Eye Crazy" /><!-- s:-? --> <!-- s:-? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Eyecrazy.gif" alt=":-?" title="Eye Crazy" /><!-- s:-? --> - nearly ran out of petrol through that Otway section - but was a great day! Now its time for <!-- s:alcoholic: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_all_coholic.gif" alt=":alcoholic:" title="Alcoholic" /><!-- s:alcoholic: --> <!-- s:zzz: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sleeping.gif" alt=":zzz:" title="Sleeping" /><!-- s:zzz: -->
