bikes looks in pretty good shape dude, cant wait to see the finished product.
for thosie who cant view the pics.. geocites dont like their links being linked in other sites. so you need to right click the X and select properties and copy and paste the link into the webaddress bar.
I suggest checkin out the help section water-ninja for that free picture hosting site.. its somewhere there forget their website name.

Well done! The bike looks excellent, and a vast improvement over the original product.

Why would the hi rise exhaust make the bike slower? I can understand that being the case if the bike isn't re-tuned, but I assumed that if it was properly retuned then it would be ok. (note: not questioning you, I am just interested in learning why). Also- does this hold true for all the other bikes that put a non-factory highrise exhaust on them? I would assume that if they had factory high rise then that is what they work best on.

ok

Good question Bozie. First off I have read this on many sites. Because no one makes a high rise for the FZR250 then it would have to be custom made but this is the problem. When companys make new exhaust systems they spend mega bucks dyno testing diffrent types and desgins. With a low cost custom one made by a local it could have many problems that dont occur with the well known brands because of the testing and money. With High rise systems they have bends and will use diffrent pipes. All im saying is that the FZR has **** all power as it is adding longer piping with more bends made by some one that hasnt had it dyno tested to see if it restrics or not.

Thats all. Remember though companys that make them, make money by spending money in doing test and making diffrent types to see which one makes the best power thats all.

Other bikes such as r6, r1, gsx750r etc etc all use branded expensive ones that are made for that bike by a big brand company that has spent $$$$$$ on getting everything right etc etc etc.

Just because some one with 40 years of experince makes a custom one dosnt mean it will improve power.

fair enough. Makes sense. So in short as long as the bike is retuned it should be fine. But since the fzr has little power (in comparison with big bikes) it would be virtually impossible to retune the bike adequately, and thus loss of performance. And to couple this with any high rise exhaust being a custom job...

Hi rise pipes

Guys i am using the standard can off the fzr ... so no power will be lost and really no retuning required

wow !! nice work it must feel good to make something that once looks soooo bad it sould be werked into something that looks like it just cam off the production line

just some good looking decals and your all set you probably spent abit but depending on how much you could still make a profit

i dont know how it is mechanicly but keep us posted and keep up the good work !
