Wanted: Suzuki 250 across/bandit/gsx-r engine

    Hi guys im looking for a engine to suit my gsxR250 and maybe some other parts to suit my bike, im pretty sure an across or bandit engine will work

    Hey Dusan

    I dont know of any original GSXR250 engines, they were similar to the Across but the head was different as were the cams, the carbies are set at 45 degress as well. Perhaps try www.findapart.com.au and see if they can find you one.

    yeah the gsxr250s are very hard to come across, mines a 1988 model so im looking for anything with lowish kms. anyone a decent mechanic around victoria im probley going to need help getting it in

    im going tomorrow to pick one up, got a whole engine quoted at $850, 22,000ks off a bandit, there is a GJ73 off another gsxr250 although its missing a stator and rotar

    engines here, got the bandit gj74 motor with a chain, cover behind the clutch, battery, engine bolts for the mounts and all the loom and bits and pieces i needed. 22,000 kms done cant wait till this babys in. tomorrow picking up new plugs, oil filter and few bits and pieces. anyone know if i need a gasket to connect the 4 carbys to the engine and also will i need a gasket for the exhaust manifold ? payed 1000 all up pretty good buy since most of it is in good condition

    pics will be up in the morning in a new build thread going step by step as i get this thing on the road
