VJMC Fundraising Weekend - Tamworth NSW

    1937 Royal Enfield 250, CF Moto 250 V5, Honda's XL250, CBR250, FT500 plus a few others.
    The Tamworth Branch of the VJMC will be having a fundraising weekend for Prostate Cancer Research on the 16th and 17th November 2013.
    This will involve a ride on Saturday (starting 10am) to Manilla via back roads (long, short or dirt) for lunch at the Royal Hotel, then a return ride to Tamworth.
    Dinner on Saturday night will be at the Central Hotel from 6pm (accommodation with secure bike parking) , and Sunday morning will be the street show of our bikes ($10 for first bike, $2 extra bike) starting at 9am with the trophy presentation at 1pm.
    So far there are people coming from Brisbane and Sydney with other places in between.
    Last year there were 40+ shiny bikes in the street, and the local street markets are on the same day.
    You do not have to be a VJMC member, just be interested in old Jap bikes.
    So if interested in a great weekend with other like minded people put these days in your diary and help support research into a deadly disease that could effect us all.
    All proceeds go to supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

    Thanks Grey. Just to clarify, ALL types of bikes are welcome on the ride and socialising/dinner. Pre 1990 only for the show (they do have to be vintage) and need to be in the street ready by 9am.

    The dinner will be at own cost at the hotel bistro, same with Saturday lunch. If needed can dine elsewhere and just join for a drink. Can stay in hotel (with secure bike parking) or the van park at end of main street if wishing for something cheaper. Will go and get some prices for you tomorrow.

    Central Hotel 0267662160 $35.00 per head/room. Free lock up bike parking at back.

    Paradise Tourist Park 0267663120 Unpowered camp site $30.00
    Standard cabin (sleeps three) $100.00
    Ensuite cabin (sleeps four) $105.00
    Riverside cabin (sleeps six) $125.00
    Looks like the Central is the best bet with security for bikes and only have to stagger upstairs after dinner.

    Little update. The Central hotel will be having drinks and nibbles on Friday arvo for those who arrive early, start approx 6pm. Saturday night dinner (and raffles, just to get you interested the major prize is a 4.5Lt bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, some smaller bottles also plus motorcycle gear) is a two course (beef or pork roast) with desert for $25 per head.
    Went over some of the ride course yesterday and sampled the lunch, A ok! :thumb_ups:

    sounds good and am looking forward to it. the 750 is ready till the next problem raises it head, the trike is fixed and the cagiva has new tyres.will be at the central friday nite so looking forward to some fun...locomotive, tudor, central, albert, couthouse. southgate. wests.hope wanita is singing somewhere.should be bands somewhere and bringing some sangria to drink.hope to see you and grey and all the other brothers. NOW AS WE ARE IN NSW DO WE HAVE TO NOTIFY THE LOCAL POLICE AS 3 OF US ARE RIDING TOGETHER AND HAVE NO COLOURS.????????
