4th March 2017 Hi All, For any of you who don't know, the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club (VJMC) is having its National Rally in Tamworth this weekend, so I thought I’d post some pics from today’s (Saturday) rally entrants and attendees. There were a lot of bikes, so I’m posting just the 2fiftycc variety (mostly).
And here are some rare 2fiftycc bikes. A special prize for anyone who can pick what these 3 are and why they're special.
2 look like marusho lilacs ? and the 3rd is a Honda , if I had to guess what makes them Special ?? Did Risky buy them ?
LOL. If Risky bought them, then he'd be special! Honda is the first 2fiftycc Honda ever made...1956 SA250. The owner lives 45 minutes up the road from me (Emerald, Victoria) and he cleaned up at last night's awards. I was riding behind him on yesterday morning's ride, so I can confirm it is a full working bike. The Black bike (Meguro) is the company Kawasaki bought and then got into motorbikes. By the way, @kiffsta was right about the Lilac bikes. They had an across the frame V-twin like Moto Guzzi and the Honda CX500/650.
yep can confirm that. by the way - risky is now on the national executive.weather was bad- i think i took it to tamworth. well run function and would guess 300 bikes. was going to take the cbx but found fuel tap leak at 10.30 pm on thurs nite so rode the bmw r65 and rung its neck.worst part of weekend was a historical bike getting a ticket as it came out of scone and it was not me. commisserations as the town has a long 50k speed limit on its edge.ticket heaven.
