hey dave, the valve clearance values for 2kr, are they the same for other 3ln models?

i.e. mine is 3ln5, the model that peaks at 16k rpm and makes 45hp

while 3ln1 peaks at 14.5k, with 45 hp..

and 3ln6 or newer makes 40hp.. and peaks i dunno where...

valve clearance are very critical to the tune of an engine.. as that 0.12 mm gap can be proportionate to a huge chunck of any given intake/exhaust cycle on to the camshaft.

    Hey,
They are the same for the 400 so I don't think they change at all between the 250 models. I know my friend ZX9R has the same exhaust valve clearances as my 3LN1 and the intakes are only 0.05 different so I'd go with what's in the manual.

Valve clearance is the same for all models, and the FZR400.

The 3LN1-3-5 all peak power at 16,000 rpm

The later models (3LN6-7) have the max torque at a lower rpm (10,000 instead of 12,000) and more of it. So they not really any slower.
