Hi guys, Hopefully this is in the right place just hoping to get some info/tips on improving the alignment on the front wheel, I've done the usual google, youtube and search tool on the forums and found a few things though just thought I'd ask for some advice before I dive in. cheers in advance
after chatting to a bloke at work I'm just gonna take it into a shop, sounds like I am missing some important gear to do the job properly.
What is actually wrong with it? Theres a few things that can create front end problems .... something as simple as very low tyre pressure to unbalanced wheel , to forks skewed in the triple trees from hitting a bump or gutter , or the tubes actually bent.
what is wrong is my older brother lol. allowed him to borrow it as he used to allow me to get experience on his old bike. I have a strong feeling he low sided it into a gutter and replaced or fixed all the obvious stuff but missed the front wheel alignment. the tubes are definitely straight I have gone to stupid lengths to confirm that.

Matthew, there isn't much adjustment on the CBR, rather making sure your triple tree \ forks are not bent, could be a bent frame too if it was a decent stack. What's your bro got to say about what happened ? Easiest test is to ride along doing about 80 kms per hour then remove your hands from the bars, if it wanders then its something is bent, if it tracks straight then you are sweet. You have to be careful pulling your hands off at speed but its only way I know of to test it. I have a spare triple tree, forks and an MC19 frame if you get stuck
he isn't particularly forth coming with info. for now I have dropped it in at ellespede at west end and they are having a look at it for me I will keep you all updated and I will certainly keep that in mind thanks Kiffsta. it may be on the books unfortunately. though with my untrained eye all of the gear does look straight. the bloke at ellespede said he is basically going to pull out the front end and make sure it is safe to ride. I mentioned I have a few spares and he has said bring them in and we can use them if any need replacing though I mostly just have the spare master cylinders from the brakes and a few little bits nothing major. apparently it occurred at about 40kph as he took a left turn, hit some rubble on the road from road works and slid into the gutter as a result
