i have been having to clutch start the last couple days as not enough charge in the bat. charged the bat last night and got in this morning and checking stuff, the bat was not really charging when the bike was going, but was not really going down. with the multimeter attached, started playing with pulling fuses and pulled the light fuse and the bat started charging normally, so looks like i have a short in one of my lights. so now, to start checking all my lights, yay.
