Nice thanks for the advice guys. I'll have a "snoop" myself and see what I can find. Might even invest in a 60W soldering iron.

Ok so I'm still waiting on bits for the throttle cable but apart from that she's good to go. Anyone here wants it (runs pretty well for what it is in my opinion) I'll do you a good deal to remove it from my shed and if you're nice I might even help you out with club registration :)

Well not so dying now. She's up for sale - $950 ONO. People here will be looked after. 2KR throttle cable was the right length but I had to trim the sheath back but she's together and I took her for a ride. WOW, really pokey for a 250 I was really impressed... damn I wish I could keep her now... it's like a comfortable FZR!

Few little niggly bits to sort through but nothing the average joe couldn't work through with a bit of youtube and common sense.

Thanks yeh she's come up pretty well. I was surprised, taking her for a ride she's very pokey. I didn't expect that. Still a bit sluggish through parts of the rev range probably because she's still got the wrong jets in the carby. I might pull her back and do those just to see what she can do afterwards. The more I ride her the less I want to sell :(

Yeah it came up very nice!
You sound a bit like me Stu,
buying bike's to work on and do up to sell them on again and make some cash, i end up getting them going and looking sweet then end up keeping them, lol
I just spotted a rare race pit bike that's for sale atm that i've been wanting for a long time, do i or don't i? hmmm

You need to buy some white contact and make up an A for the Yamaha on the left fairing, or didn't you know someone that does sticker's ?

She's come a long way since when she coughed and spluttered into my garage. I'd love to keep it as a club bike/loaner or whatever because honestly she's got some guts for a 250 and isn't so hard on the body to ride like the FZR's... but... I need the 400 on the road...

Wow Stu. Great job. $950 sounds like a real bargain. I hope she sells quickly before you regret it.

if @kiffsta feels like making me a sticker or two I'm down :D

Why am I selling this again? Sorry for the terrible recording I had to stick my phone where it wouldn't fall off.

I'm surprised that I still have this little bike... sitting at $750 and I'm getting stupid offers of $400 with nobody actually coming to see it.

It's going to waste, anyone want to do a deal here? I really don't have space to keep it despite sort of wanting to.

its tough as its rather a unique bike, id say 98% of people have never heard of it , hence why it is difficult to move on. Stay firm on your price, someone will grab it eventually

If you really want to get rid of it, stick it on ebay auction for $500 no reserve. Otherwise keep it and take it to VJMC national rally, you might find someone willing to buy it off you, or at least get people having a look trying to figure out what it is
